Flashpoint Batman Gear Suit and NPC Concepts from my time on DCUO (what a great team to work with)!
For those who are curious, my process was to use a combination of 2D and 3D techniques, taking our base 3D mesh and sculpting out a head and then doing drawovers in photoshop to work out general ideas for the concept. I had to maintain a lot of what was established in the comics but I did still have some areas where I could design uniquely for our game.
For the final concept it was a combination again of concept sculpting and overpainting in photoshop. It was a ton of fun and I have always enjoyed getting to work on Batman!
